What is an intra-Community supply (ICS)?
An intra-Community supply is a cross-border supply within the EU.
More precisely, intra-Community supplies are those supplies in which a company within the EU (but not to private individuals) delivers goods and/or services to another company – in another EU country – and issues an invoice accordingly.
Both parties – for example, the supplier and the recipient of the invoice – must have a valid VAT identification number.
