Is there a contract term?
No. You’ll sign an open-ended service contract that you can terminate at any time with 10 days’ notice effective at the end of the month—no restrictive contract, no minimum term.
How much does CATAMA cost?
CATAMA starts at 99 EUR/month. The Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited plans are available on a pay-as-you-go basis. See Products & Pricing for details.
What does "pay-as-you-go" mean?
You only pay for the months and the number of users who actually use the system. You can add additional users as needed and deactivate them when they are no longer needed.
Can I try CATAMA for free?

Does CATAMA run without installation?
Yes. CATAMA is cloud-based and runs directly in your web browser—on PCs, laptops, Macs, and tablets—with no installation required.
How and where is my data stored?
All data is transmitted in encrypted form and stored in an ISO-certified data center in Germany (Nuremberg). Daily backups protect against data loss.
Is CATAMA GoBD-compliant?
Yes. Invoicing and document archiving are designed to meet GoBD requirements—including traceable document chains and DATEV export.
Does CATAMA support e-invoicing (ZUGFeRD/XRechnung)?
Yes. CATAMA supports e-invoicing in the ZUGFeRD and XRechnung formats for legally compliant invoicing to business partners and public-sector clients.
Is there a DATEV interface?
Yes. You can export accounting data for your tax advisor via DATEV. For more information, see the DATEV Interface.
What interfaces does CATAMA offer?
CATAMA integrates parts catalogs, DAT SilverDAT, mobile.de, shop systems, and the DATEV export, and also provides an open REST API and MCP.
Does CATAMA offer a TSE cash register?
Yes. With the TSE cash register, you can generate signed cash register receipts and view cash register transactions. The TSE certificate is billed separately. For Austria, the RKSV guidelines apply.
For which industries is CATAMA suitable?
For auto repair shops and car dealerships, as well as tire shops, RV service centers, motorcycle shops, commercial vehicle service centers, classic car shops, agricultural machinery service centers, quad/ATV service centers, and other service providers.
Why are there setup costs?
Setup costs are a one-time expense. We configure the system to meet your exact needs: employee accounts, business data, and document templates for invoices and quotes.
Will you handle the data migration?
Yes. With our data migration service, we can transfer customer, supplier, and product data from your previous solution upon request.
Can I add additional users at any time?
Yes. Billing is on a per-user, per-month basis. Accounts that are no longer needed can be deactivated at any time.

What is the difference between CATAMA and CATMA?
CATAMA is 404MEDIA's automotive software (DMS). CATMA is an independent text annotation tool and has nothing to do with the CATAMA automotive software.
For which countries is CATAMA suitable?
For Germany, Austria, and Switzerland—including country-specific information on VAT, UID, RKSV, and QR invoices.
